My name is Dr. Kristina H. Atler PhD and I have worked in the field of education since 2006. With over 15 years of experience in the field, nurturing meaningful learning experiences for children is my primary objective. I focus my expertise on the intersections and alignment of educational quality, program philosophy, stakeholder experience, and policy to initiate and maintain prosperous programs.
My Tribe
My husband and I have three young children, who are our pride and joy, and give us meaning each and every day. We enjoy time with our children outdoors where we hike, camp, swim, and explore the natural beauty of Southern California. We have a Puppy named Ginger and Bearded Dragon named “P”.
Educational Background
During my time at Occidental College, I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Education and Child Development. I then completed my Masters of Arts in Teaching where I earned my California Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential. Soon thereafter, attended Concordia University where I completed a Masters in Educational Administration, and earned my California Administrative Credential.
Most recently I completed my Doctoral studies where I explored the experiences of nature-based learning leaders as they initiate and maintain their programs in the United States. I am now a Doctor of Philosophy in Advocacy and Leadership in Early Childhood Education.
Field Experience
I began working with children in high school where I served as a camp counselor and assistant teacher. Upon graduating college, I began my formal teaching career as a lead teacher. Over the years I was promoted to Team Lead, and School Center Director. Most recently I worked as a Curriculum Designer and now am a Subject Matter Expert in Educational Program Quality Improvement.
Leadership Philosophy
I am a servant leader and prioritize the growth and well-being of those I lead to empower them to reach their potential to be fully self-expressed in their own leadership journey.
